Welcome to Memerio. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Memerio mobile application and any related services (collectively, the “Service”). By installing, opening, or using Memerio, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Memerio is a personal voice-driven diary. You speak about your day; the Service transcribes your audio, generates a written entry, optionally creates an illustration of a memorable moment, and over time synthesizes weekly and monthly summaries.
Memerio is provided as-is and is not a medical, psychological, or therapeutic service. It is not a substitute for professional advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Memerio. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Service only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
Memerio uses Sign in with Apple to authenticate you. We do not collect a password. You are responsible for keeping your Apple ID secure. You may sign out or permanently delete your account at any time from within the app (Menu → Delete Account). Deleting your account removes all of your diary entries, illustrations, and animations from our cloud storage and from the device on which you trigger the deletion.
You retain ownership of everything you record and write in Memerio (“Your Content”). We do not sell, rent, license, or use Your Content for advertising or to train external AI models. Your Content is stored:

To produce diary entries, summaries, and illustrations, the Service sends portions of your transcribed text and, for illustrations, derived prompt fragments to third-party AI providers (currently Anthropic, OpenAI, DeepSeek, and MiniMax, depending on your in-app selection and feature). These providers process the content on their servers under their own terms and privacy policies.
AI-generated outputs are best-effort. They may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or unexpected stylistic choices. You should not rely on them for any decision of consequence.
You agree not to use the Service to:
Memerio can generate static illustrations and short looping animations based on your diary content. These outputs are provided for your personal, non-commercial enjoyment within the app and via the in-app sharing and export features. Their availability depends on third-party AI providers and may be temporarily unavailable.
Memerio offers exporting your diary as PDF, EPUB, or DOCX, and individual entries as image or video files for social sharing. You are responsible for how you use and distribute these exports.
Memerio may include free usage limits and, in the future, paid plans for higher quotas of AI-generated content. Where paid plans are offered, they will be presented and processed through Apple’s in-app purchase system and governed additionally by Apple’s terms.
We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We may also discontinue the Service. Where reasonably possible we will provide notice through the app or by email.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially violate these Terms or if continued operation would expose us or other users to risk.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR APPROPRIATE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL MEMERIO, ITS OWNER, OR ITS CONTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR REVENUE, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Memerio and its owner from any claims arising out of your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction of the Service operator, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Mandatory consumer protections of the country where you reside continue to apply.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after the update constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
